  • I made three new recipes tonight and didn't have to set foot in the grocery store

  • It's an added bonus that I can attack my pantry a bit.For tonight's dinner, I had to make something with tomatoes, and ended up using them in two recipes

  • For our main course, I went with a Scampi Pasta recipe that I found in a current issue of (a division of Good Housekeeping)

  • Another easy one, it's a good thing it's a small recipe, since wouldn't touch them, and only had one half

  • All in all, a perfect meal for a weeknight; it was on the table in under half-an-hour and made good use out of fresh Summer bounty.Haven't made cookies in awhile, so pulled out a new recipe from Midwest Living magazine and went with Peanut Butter and Oatmeal Rounds , which I'm renaming Peanut Butter, Chocolate & Raisin Cookies

  • Stir and heat through, then serve!Note you don't have to use the egg, just skip that part and go right to adding the non-frozen 'stuff.' Also, sometimes i like it without soy sauce, it just depends on how salty the other ingredients already are.*This is an easy recipe because traditional fried rice is supposed to be made with an egg 'crepe, ' sliced into strips and incorporated into the rice

  • I hope it is good! I am always making Barefoot Contessa recipes

  • But, the recipe calls for 5 pounds of ground turkey

  • I actually use her recipe, and it is amazing

  • Also, you can use the same recipe, except with red onion and no chicken broth, and it makes fabulous (and very sticky before cooked) turkey burgers

  • Here are the directions that recipe:DIRECTIONS:-In a skillet on medium-low heat, add olive oil, red onion, thyme, salt and pepper

  • Okay, enough recipe sharing for today

  • Not only does that recipe make a TON of sauce, but it lasts for months in the fridge (so she says)

  • I actually recommend any of her recipes

  • Every recipe of hers that I have made has turned out amazing

  • I have made A LOT of her recipes, too, lol
