"Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring" is a wonderful, action packed story about a quest through the magical land of Middle-Earth
It wasn't just any ring though, it was a ring of power and it's devious owner, Dark Lord Sauron, used it to wage war on Middle-Earth in the hopes of conquering it's people
Once the ring was recovered, the evil spirit of it's original owner was awakened and the Dark Lord once again began to rebuild his army-- first to search out and take back his ring and secondly to try one again to conquer Middle-Earth
In order to stop the evil Lord, a fellowship of nine is formed and their quest is to take the ring back to Mount Doom-- the center of in the Dark Lord's dominion
He has a heavy burden to carry because not only is he in great peril from being hunted down by the Dark Lord and his followers but even his own friends cannot always resist the temptation and power of the ring
I've never read any of the "Lord of the Rings" novels and I've never seen the original animated movie
